Jose Enrique has questioned Leeds United winger, Raphinha, possible replacing Mo Salah at Liverpool, as he posted on his Instagram story.

The former left-back added that it will be ‘difficult’ for the Leeds star to replace Liverpool’s Golden Boot winner because of the number of goals he scores and how he is ‘always available’ for selection.

It seems highly likely that the Reds are going to lose Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich this summer – Mane and Salah’s contracts at Anfield expire next summer.

Nonetheless, it was suggested by former Aston Villa striker, Gabby Agbonlahor, that Raphinha is capable of replacing Salah on Merseyside and he would be the ‘perfect’ replacement, as quoted by the Daily Mail.

But Enrique seemed to disagree, as he issued this response to his fellow pundit on his Instagram story.

“Amigo, you (Agbonlahor) have been a striker yourself,” said Enrique. “You know how difficult it is to replace top players and one that is always available. And always gives you goals.

“Raphinha is a top player. But if Liverpool let Salah and Mane leave in the same transfer window, I believe they should renew him.”

KLOPP WOULD TRANSFORM RAPHINHA

During the recently concluded Premier League season, Raphinha hit 11 goals for Leeds, this despite the team being in a relegation battle, suffering injury after injury, Marcelo Bielsa getting sacked and the team defending like a Sunday league team.

It just goes to show what the Brazil international can deliver in such difficult circumstances, so imagine what he is capable of in a much better team?

Leeds don’t want to lose their trickster on the right, but the rumours of the player leaving just won’t go away, with Liverpool also keen on his talents.

If the Yorkshire faithful had a choice, then they would probably be happy to lose Raphinha if it meant Kalvin Phillips staying on board, but it seems as though they might lose him also.
