Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur winning against Frank Lampard’s Everton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday evening.

Tottenham have got the better of Everton 2-0 in North London in the Premier League this evening.

England international striker Harry Kane put Spurs in the lead from the penalty spot in the 59th minute.

Then on 86 minutes, midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg found the back of the net to make it 2-0.

Former Tottenham and Everton striker Lineker was following the match, and he was impressed by the display from Conte’s side, as you can see from his tweet below.

Encouraging result

In our view, Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Everton at home is very encouraging for the North London club.

The performance of Spurs was also much better than in previous games.

And Antonio Conte’s side kept a clean sheet.

Tottenham found it tough against Eintracht Frankfurt at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, but they still won.

And they will face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Wednesday evening.

So, a win against Everton tonight was massive for Spurs for their confidence.
