Who is DIDE? Many have been asking as a masked rapper claiming to be a professional footballer takes England by storm.
The unidentified artist has released a track titled Thrill – which seemingly involved a number of clues about who he could play for.
Some thought DIDE played for Arsenal, as Thrill includes the lyrics “my team stay winning” and “every game like a final” in what seemed to be a reference to the Premier League title race.
Now – however – DIDE’s identity has seemingly been revealed.
Who is DIDE?
Well, DIDE appears to be Sheyi Ojo.
DIDE can be seen with a diamond tattoo on his wrist in the music video for Thrill, which some eagle-eyed football fans online have noticed is the exact same as the Cardiff No.10’s tattoo.
DIDE kept himself well hidden in the video for Thrill with a full mask, although one strand of hair – similar to Ojo’s style – could be seen poking out of the back.
You can see a post from Football Tweet showing both pieces of evidence below.
It remains to be seen whether Ojo really is DIDE, although the signs are certainly there.
DIDE’s official website contains a bio which reads: “Hailing from the UK, masked hip-hop sensation DIDE keeps his Premier League football life separate from his evocative music by donning a rose-adorned disguise. While living the luxurious life of a pro footballer, DIDE reveals his depth and complexity through powerful tracks.”
Ojo was born in Watford, so he would fit the “hailing from the UK” part of that bio.
One thing that is up for debate is the “Premier League football life” as Cardiff currently play in the Championship.

However, Ojo has made previously made eight Premier League appearances during his time at Liverpool, so it could simply be a reference to his time in England’s top-flight.
Be sure to keep an eye on DIDE’s situation, as it remains to be seen if he will reveal himself, or simply leave fans guessing.
