West Ham fans have reacted on Twitter after Vladimir Coufal commented on Jack Grealish, following England’s 1-0 win over the Czech Republic.

What did he say?

Speaking after full-time at Wembley, the £5 million West Ham right-back said: “Jack is a fantastic football player, to be honest, I am grateful that I can play against him and against other players as I said. I hope he will move from Aston Villa to a better club.”

Now, Coufal isn’t English, and his grasp of the language is still far from perfect, so it’s possible he didn’t mean to aim a dig at the Villans.

However, few have given him the benefit of the doubt, and have taken his comments at face value.

If he did intend to say that Grealish should move to a bigger club, then he’s been hugely disrespectful to Aston Villa.

Even one West Ham below said they wouldn’t be too happy if they were an Aston Villa fan, and we can understand why.

In our view, Coufal probably just meant that Grealish is good enough to play for a side in the Champions League.

Nevertheless, some West Ham fans below seemed to enjoy his remark, tweeting laughing emojis after hearing his comments.

Jack Grealish doesn’t need to go anywhere

From our point of view, we’re tired of England’s elite poaching the best players from Premier League clubs outside the top six.

Leicester’s rise to the top of English football has been admirable, and proves that players like Grealish can achieve their goals while staying where they are.

There’s no reason why Aston Villa – just like the Hammers did this season – can’t threaten the Premier League’s traditional top six.

Dean Smith has some excellent players, just like David Moyes does, and a place in the Europa League is certainly achievable next term.

For now, let’s see how the West Ham fans on Twitter reacted to Coufal’s comments…
