European football expert Julien Laurens has claimed that Arsenal’s next possible signing, Fabio Vieira, could ‘easily develop into something very interesting’ in his career, as he told ESPN.
Whilst Arsenal haven’t confirmed anything themselves, Porto did share that they have agreed to sell Vieira to the Premier League side for £34 million.
When the 22-year-old’s deal is finally sealed and delivered from Arsenal’s end, then he will provide much-needed competition in the middle of the park for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Vieira has the ability to play across the front three and as a ten, scoring seven goals and supplying 16 assists from his 39 games in all competitions last season.
Nonetheless, this is what Laurens had to say about Vieira as a player and what those in north London will be getting ahead of his move.
“It’s what Arteta wanted,” said Laurens. “He wanted a young player. Capable of playing in all of those different positions.
“He’s very, very good on the ball to beat the press or the pressure from the opposition.
“And he’s left-footed, which is very important. They wanted someone to be able to play as a left-footer for Arteta. He will maybe need a bit of time to adapt and start as a sub next season.
“But I think he could easily develop into something very interesting.”

MORE SIGNINGS NEEDED
After Arsenal messed up securing Champions League football last season, the fans are understandably downbeat and they need lifting.
One of the ways to do that is to sign new players, and whilst Vieira will put a smile on supporters’ faces, that all-important striker is needed.
Can the Gunners lure Gabriel Jesus to north London? He is someone who has been heavily linked with a move to the club.
Added with his Brazil teammate, Raphinha, who could be heading for the exit door at Leeds United this summer, but Arsenal aren’t the only club keen on his talents.
Either way, if Arteta is to guide Arsenal back to the Champions League and battling for top honours, then more depth, bite and proven quality is needed for this young and ever-progressing squad.
