Chelsea are ready to make a pre-deadline day swoop for Jadon Sancho and that has seen talks with Manchester United take place over a potential swap deal.

Sancho is set to leave Old Trafford this week, and talks are ongoing with a number of different clubs – as HITC revealed earlier this week.

One of the options is Chelsea and HITC is told that Sancho is open to move to back to his native London.

However, Chelsea would need to send at least one player to United as part of the deal in order for it to become feasible and there are two options in play in the shape of Ben Chilwell and Raheem Sterling.

Dan Ashworth looking over potential Raheem Sterling deal

United have considered a deal for Chilwell but were looking at a potential loan, should they pursue that.

A deal for Sterling is now being assessed by United and their director of football Dan Ashworth is looking at what a deal would potentially look like and if it makes sense for them.

HITC has been told by sources close to Sterling’s camp that ‘exploratory talks’ have taken place and the situation is being assessed by all sides.

Sterling has accepted the situation that he needs to leave Chelsea after being banished from first-team affairs, but the options are somewhat limited given the size of his contract remaining at Stamford Bridge – as he is owed over £50million.

Jadon Sancho talks continue

As Sterling’s situation is being assessed, the same is true of Sancho although he seemingly has more options but that also depends on the type of deal.

United want a permanent sale, but such is Sancho’s wage package a loan deal, like he had last season at Borussia Dortmund, could be the most likely exit plan.

Chelsea are not the option for Sancho with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Dortmund, once again, showing an interest.
