Graham Roberts says he is ‘delighted’ with the rumours that Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham Hotspur are going to sign Manor Solomon on a free transfer.

After bringing in playmaker James Maddison, it seems as though Tottenham are going to add to their forward line again this summer.

Following his spell at Marco Silva’s Fulham last season, it has been suggested that Manor Solomon will now make the trip across London to Tottenham, with Roberts adding on Twitter that he is an ‘excellent’ player.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shared that Spurs and Solomon have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ over a deal.

If this deal goes through, then it further proves that the north London club, after missing out on Europe last season, are doing things in an efficient manner ahead of the new campaign.

It wasn’t so long ago that they didn’t have a manager, they needed a new number one goalkeeper and fans were crying out for a playmaker to be brought in, well, all of those boxes have been ticked, as Roberts reacted to the latest transfer claims.

“Delighted with this,” wrote Roberts. “An excellent young player who knows exactly where the goal is.”

Levy doing the business

The Tottenham chairman has been on the end of a lot of stick in recent years, especially during the recently-concluded campaign.

But this summer, he can’t be criticised for what he has been doing because an attack-minded manager is in the dugout, a new goalkeeper, a much-needed playmaker and now another signing could be along the way.

There is still a long way to go, with the defence needing sorting, perhaps another left-back is needed and a fair few centre-backs because the backline was the biggest issue last season.
