Kenny Miller has told The Scottish Sun that Rangers should demand around £10m-15m to sell Alfredo Morelos if the prolific striker wants to leave Ibrox in a future transfer window.
Morelos has impressed Miller with what the Colombian brings to Steven Gerrard’s plans after reaching 100 goals for the Gers. The 25-year-old hit triple figures on Sunday while making his 199th appearance for the Premiership giants across all competitions.
Gerrard handed Morelos his eighth start in nine league outings so far this term as Rangers visited St Mirren. Connor Ronan broke the deadlock for the Buddies after just four-minutes, but Kemar Roofe and Morelos struck home in the 42nd and 43rd to enter the break ahead.

Rangers held on to their one-goal lead thanks to Morelos’ third Premiership strike of the campaign to beat St Mirren. And fellow Ibrox 100 goal hero Miller lauds the rate at which Morelos achieved triple digits, comparing his record with Rangers great Kris Boyd.
“Alfredo has scored 100 goals in 199 games and that’s just outstanding,” Miller said. “Put it this way, that’s not far off Boydy standards. The big man obviously hit the landmark number a lot quicker than any of us. But Morelos is at the level every striker wants to get to, where you’re scoring one in every two games.”
Miller expects Morelos will eventually leave Rangers
But while Miller lauds Morelos and what he offers Gerrard, the ex-Rangers striker expects the Colombian will leave Ibrox eventually. Noting the £33k-a-week forward’s previous flirtations with testing himself outside of Glasgow, four-years on from his £1m arrival.
“He brings so much to the line-up. But every player has their price, and I don’t think he’s ever denied the fact he sees himself moving on at some stage,” Miller added. “The question is just when Rangers want to cash in, because there’s no doubt they have had opportunities to do that down the years and decided against it.

“If you’re asking me if they could still get upwards of £10m then I think they could. That’s definitely possible if Fredo can get his game back to the level it’s been at before. As someone who has run European defence ragged in the last few years, I’d definitely bracket him in the £10m-£15m range.”
Morelos was tempted to leave Rangers in the last transfer window, with Antena1 reporting he agreed to join Porto. Duncan Castles additionally claimed the Portuguese giants offered €12m (£10m) to sign the striker, however their bid was, seemingly, insufficient.
With Morelos now in the final two-years of his contract, Rangers’ valuation may sit within the price range Miller suggests. Marking a sizable profit on the fee paid to HJK Helsinki in 2017, but potentially below what the Gers want.
