Derby County recently appointed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as manager.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham could be tempted by a move to Derby County, according to Dean Ashton.
Derby appointed Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as manager last month, with Blues youth coach Jody Morris arriving as Lampard’s number two, and have been tipped to use the pair’s connections to strengthen their playing squad.
Abraham spent last season on loan with Swansea City and is said to have Premier League interest again this summer, with Crystal Palace linked last week by the Guardian.
But Ashton has told the Sun newspaper (June 22 ‘Fixtures’ pull-out, page two) that a reunion with Lampard at Derby could appeal to the England international.

“One of Lamps’ priorities must be to inject some fresh, young faces into the group,” said the 34-year-old, himself a former Three Lions striker. “They ran out of steam towards the end of last season, stumbling into the play-offs and paid a hefty price.
“They lacked spark, energy, that extra five per cent which could have made all the difference as they lost in their play-off clash with Fulham.
“How about Tammy Abraham? Yes, he has admirers in the Premier League after spending last season on loan at Swansea form Chelsea, but he could be tempted to work under Lampard.
“And he’d be back in a league where he bagged 23 goals in 41 appearances for Bristol City a couple of years ago.”

With Matej Vydra, David Nugent, Chris Martin and Cameron Jerome in their ranks, Derby are not currently short in attack.
However, reports continue to link Vydra with a move away from Pride Park, as the Rams seek to raise funds for Lampard’s summer rebuild.
