Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic has not featured since David Unsworth took charge at Goodison Park.

With Everton failing to find a new manager following Ronald Koeman’s dismissal, David Unsworth’s chances of landing the job on a permanent basis seem to be increasing by the day.
Everton have been heavily linked with Sam Allardyce and Marco Silva to date, but have been unable to get a deal over the line for either manager.
And Unsworth’s time as caretaker boss looks set to be extended now.

Unsworth is expected to lead Everton for their next match, which comes against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
If the Toffees can pick up a victory against Palace, then Unsworth will have staked his claim to take over on a permanent basis at Everton.
And that may be bad news for Nikola Vlasic, if the early signs are anything to go by.

Vlasic was one of the positives to come out of Koeman’s time at the helm, but Unsworth has completely ignored the youngster so far.
Vlasic has been dropped from Everton’s match day squads since Unsworth took charge, with the caretaker boss clearly favouring other options.
And he may be concerned about his first-team chances, if Unsworth is given the Everton job on a long-term basis.
