David Moyes has insisted to the Chronicle that Sunderland’s deadline day was not frustrating.
Sunderland spent most the day trying to close on a deal for Leicester City’s Leonardo Ulloa.

Ulloa appeared to be keen to leave Leicester to move to the Stadium of Light, but Moyes’ men were unable to get a deal over the line.
Leicester rejected three of their bids for the powerful forward, and Sunderland eventually decided that the deal had become too expensive.
It leaves the Black Cats’ forward options looking short, but Moyes insists that he wasn’t frustrated about the last day of the January transfer window.

“I wouldn’t use the word frustrating, but we were trying to add to the squad if we could,” the Scottish boss admitted.
We knew it would be a difficult few days to get what we wanted.
“The injury to Victor Anichebe made things a lot harder for us, and made us have to look at things differently.
“But it wasn’t for the want of trying. Some players we couldn’t get, and some clubs chose not to sell us their players.”
Sunderland had limited funds to spend last month, which left Moyes searching for bargains.
The Black Cats signed Joleon Lescott, Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson during the January transfer window, as Moyes looked to strengthen his options on Wearside.
Sunderland are currently in 19th place in the Premier League table – five points adrift of safety.
