Javier Hernandez has been linked with a move away from West Ham, but David Moyes feels the Mexican is key to his plans.

A lot was expected from Javier Hernandez when he joined West Ham in the summer. However, the Mexican hasn’t been able to make a strong impact thus far.
The former Guadalajara star has been linked with a move away from the London Stadium, with Goal.com reporting that he could be off to Besiktas in the January transfer window.
The report claimed that Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman held advanced talks with the Hammers regarding the transfer of the former Manchester United striker.

However, according to West Ham manager David Moyes, there’s hardly any iota of truth to such rumours. He insists that Hernandez can have an important part to play for the club till the end of the season.

Hernandez scored an equaliser against Bournemouth on Saturday, and Moyes is hoping that the 29-year-old will continue to score more goals in the coming matches for the club.
“Well, there’s speculation about ‘Chicharito’. But there’s been speculation about Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho… about every man and their dog here really,” Moyes said, as quoted by Football London.
“We need ‘Chicharito’. The sort of goal he got today might be typical. So we need to try to get a lot more balls in the box. And hopefully he’s going to score a lot more goals for us in the weeks and months.”
