West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has been linked with Besiktas in the January transfer window.

Much was expected of former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez when he arrived at West Ham United in the summer of 2017, but the Mexico international has failed to make an impact at the London Stadium.
The 29-year-old striker has scored only four goals in 17 Premier League appearances for the Hammers so far this season.
The former Guadalajara star is struggling to play regularly for David Moyes’ side, and it now looks as though he is on his way out of the London Stadium.

According to Goal.com, Hernandez is close to leaving West Ham for Besiktas in the January transfer window.
It has been reported that Besiktas chairman Fikret Orman is in London and is holding advanced talks with the Hammers regarding the transfer of the former United star.
According to the report, Besiktas will pay West Ham a transfer fee of €8.5 million (£7.5m) in order to secure the services of Hernandez.

What is interesting is that it seems that the Hammers are willing to take a loss of £8.5m on Hernandez, having signed him from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £16m.
It seems that West Ham are just desperate to offload Hernandez – who was signed by then manager Slaven Bilic – which is a surprise given that they could do with a proven goalscorer for the rest of the season as they attempt to avoid the drop to the Championship.
