A total of ten Liverpool players are appearing at Euro 2024 in Germany and many are key players for their country.
The European Championships began with a bang when hosts Germany slapped Scotland 5-1 and since then the games have largely been entertaining.
But as the crunch moments arrive, teams are now getting knocked out, with several sides already having their bags packed and heading home.
On Sunday, Andy Robertson came head-to-head with his Liverpool teammate Dominik Szoboszlai in a crucial and nail-biting encounter in Stuttgart.
Hungary proceeded to score a 100th-minute winner to knock Scotland out of Euro 2024 and maintain their chances of progressing through to the knockout stages as a third-placed side.
Szoboszlai is a key player for his nation and David Moyes was keen to big up the ‘really powerful’ midfielder.
The 23-year-old had a mixed debut season at Liverpool, but many know the talent is in his locker and his ability to dominate games from the middle of the park.
Moyes added that, during the tournament so far, he thinks Szoboszlai has made a ‘big difference’ to his side, as he told Match of the Day on BBC One.

“I think he has actually done really well for Liverpool this year,” said Moyes. “He’s a young player coming into the Premier League.
“But I think he has got great energy. Really powerful. He can play several positions for them. In the tournament so far, he has made a big difference to them. His dead-balls have been excellent – very good running with the ball. Really good control and he is always looking to get into the box.
“He is always a threat and is always getting into the box. More than anything, it’s always his powerful running and energy that is a big thing for Hungary.”
Dominik Szoboszlai finding form ahead of new Liverpool season
When Szoboszlai returns to Liverpool next month, he will have a new manager in the dugout after Arne Slot replaced Jurgen Klopp.
It’s going to be interesting to see how Slot uses Szoboszlai because you feel there is still a lot more to come from him.

Perhaps getting to the knockout stages of Euro 2024 with Hungary and going deeper into the competition will give him the confidence to return to Liverpool full of energy and desire to take his game to the next level.
There is no reason why he can’t suit Slot’s system because he loves his team playing as high up the pitch as possible and playing on the front foot.
