West Ham United head into Sunday’s game with Manchester City without some of their most important players.

Hammers boss David Moyes sat down for his pre-match press conference ahead of his side’s tough-looking trip to Manchester City on Sunday, and provided an injury update on some of his key players, as quoted by the club’s official website.
West Ham have begun their Premier League campaign in woeful fashion this season, and currently sit precariously in 18th position in the table, after their woeful return of just 10 points from their opening 14 league outings.
Their job has been made all the more difficult, however, with some of their key players missing for crucial periods of the campaign, and according to Moyes, they won’t be back anytime soon.

The 54-year-old Scot addressed the media for his pre-match press conference today, and provided an update on Andy Carroll, Javier Hernandez, Winston Reid and Jose Fonte, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“We’ve got a few injured players. We’ve got a few. We’re going to go to Manchester and try to put on a good show and take something from the game. Andy Carroll and Chicharito aren’t back. We’ve got a few missing just now. Winston Reid – we will check him out tomorrow. Jose Fonte is a long-term injury.”
Most Hammers fans will not be expecting anything from the Etihad on Sunday, but with the club’s current dire situation, Moyes will surely be looking to at least pick up a point against Pep Guardiola’s men.
And their task will not be helped with so many key men unavailable for selection.
