Daniel Farke’s Leeds United could reportedly face a problem in their quest to sign Michail Antonio from David Moyes’s West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

Leeds United want to sign Michail Antonio, but West Ham United manager David Moyes reportedly does not want the striker to leave this week.

On Sunday, Football Transfers reported that Leeds are among the clubs who are keen on Antonio.

The report claimed that Fulham as well as clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in the striker.

The Jamaica international striker has told Moyes that he wishes to leave if the Premier League club bring in Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla in the final days of the summer transfer window, according to the report.

Antonio does not want to play second fiddle.

There is now speculation that West Ham are trying to bring in a new striker before the summer transfer window closes this week.

Santos striker Marcos Leonardo is among those West Ham Director Tim Steidten is trying to sign.

The Daily Mail has reported that Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq want Antonio.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is in charge of Al-Ettifaq at the moment.

According to the report, Moyes is “reluctant” to let the 33-year-old striker leave for any club this summer.

And we can understand why.

After all, Antonio is a key player for the Hammers and is the main striker at the London club.

Danny Ings is the other option for Moyes.

Gianluca Scamacca has already left the Hammers.

Antonio has been on the books of West Ham since 2015 and is under contract at the London club until the summer of 2024 with an option for a further year.

The Jamaican star came to the Hammers as a winger, but he is now the club’s main centre-forward.

Antonio has made 231 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The striker has scored 63 goals and given 30 assists in those games.
