Craig Gordon’s recent performances for Celtic have not been great, but David Hay speaks highly of him.

Craig Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment and is one of the better players in his position in the Scottish Premiership.
The 34-year-old goalkeeper has been on the books of the Scottish Premiership giants since the summer of 2014.
During his time at Celtic Park so far, the Scotland international has won the Scottish Premiership title thrice, the Scottish League Cup twice, and the Scottish Cup once.
Gordon has also featured in the Champions League with Celtic and is, without doubt, the best goalkeeper at the club at the moment.

The former Sunderland custodian, though, has not been in great form in recent weeks this season.
The 34-year-old has made mistakes in games against Rapid Vienna, Heart of Midlothian and St Johnstone.
Celtic fans have become frustrated with Gordon, and some wanted the Glasgow giants to sell him in the summer transfer window (click here to read more).

Former Celtic midfielder and manager David Hay, 69, though, believes that Gordon is one of the best goalkeepers Celtic have ever had.
“For me, Craig Gordon remains a top goalkeeper – and he would remain my first choice at Celtic,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times.
“I’d go so far to say that he is one of the best goalkeepers that Celtic have ever had. I really think that highly of him.
“I know that there are those who disagree with me, but for me is an outstanding goalkeeper.”
