Jake Paul has just lined up a big-time fight with Anthony Joshua.

No one could have guessed Jake Paul would go from a scheduled bout with Gervonta Davis to stepping into the ring against Anthony Joshua.

The planned exhibition with ‘Tank’ was cancelled after his ex-girlfriend filed a civil lawsuit, leaving the influencer-turned-boxer without an opponent for his 15 November date.

Now, according to fresh reports, Netflix is pivoting towards a professional matchup between Paul and Joshua.

According to a report from Mike Coppinger of Ring Magazine, the bout is already set for 19 December in Miami.

This time, it is not an exhibition. Paul was already preparing to fight Davis, and now he is stepping into a full professional heavyweight contest before the end of the year.

After the Tank fight collapsed, his camp reached out to Terence Crawford, Ryan Garcia, Nate Diaz and Francis Ngannou.

A former heavyweight champion, Joshua recently lost to Daniel Dubois by TKO.

Despite this setback, the Briton has been successful in four of his last five outings, including a KO victory over former UFC titleholder Ngannou.

Paul vs. Joshua should pull in huge numbers on Netflix. Remember, Paul was part of the most-streamed fight ever last November when he faced off with Mike Tyson.

Joshua represents a huge step-up in competition for Paul, who is currently 12-1 with seven knockouts, and six of those wins came against former UFC fighters.

‘The Problem Child’ may be at risk of suffering his first knockout loss, but just stepping into the ring with a former champion is sure to earn him respect from many fans.

His most recent bout was a unanimous decision victory over former WBC middleweight titleholder Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. back in June.

Regardless of the outcome, this fight is expected to deliver one of the biggest paydays of Paul’s career.
