Darren Bent has been hosting a Q&A session on his Twitter page, and he’s been asked to name the most underrated player in the Premier League.

The English top-flight is littered with fantastic players who don’t quite get the credit they deserve, from Joel Matip to Jamie Vardy, but according to Bent, Tottenham Hotspur’s Heung-Min Son is currently the Premier League’s most underrated player, despite the fact he’s just won the Golden Boot.

Son has been named as the Player of the Season by Gary Neville, but according to Bent, he remains underrated.

As strange as it sounds, we can see where the pundit is coming from.

The South Korean is a fantastic footballer, arguably one of the best in the league, but far too often he’s an afterthought, even at Spurs.

As Gary Neville said earlier this week, Son can sometimes be overshadowed by Harry Kane, but the reality is that the South Korean is every bit as talented as his strike partner.

His Golden Boot this season is well-deserved, but somehow, Son remains eternally underrated.

The fact that he wasn’t nominated for the Premier League Player of the Year award is borderline farcical, and he really does deserve more credit than he gets.

We can only hope that the wider footballing world will eventually give the attacker his due praise for his years of great service at Tottenham.
