HITC Sport understands the Peterborough United striker could cost more than £7 million amid links to Leeds United, Hull City and others.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has told a Leeds United supporter on Twitter that Posh have had contact with a ‘northern Championship side’ regarding striker Jack Marriott.
The Mirror reported on Tuesday that Leeds and Hull City are leading the chase for Marriott, and both of those clubs fit the description given by MacAnthony.
Marriott has scored 23 goals in his first season at London Road, two of which helped to dump another linked side, Aston Villa, out of the FA Cup on Saturday. And the 23-year-old’s exploits appear to have led one club to make a telephone enquiry.

When asked if he could confirm interest from ‘a Championship club up north in Marriott’, MacAnthony replied:
HITC Sport reported earlier on Wednesday that Peterborough have received three bids for Marriott from separate Championship sides since the weekend, two of which were worth £4 million.
We understand it would take a fee in the of £7-million-plus for Posh to part with the player born 55 miles from Leeds and 10 from Hull, in Beverley.
