Leeds target Rasmus Kristensen was steady at best on Monday night as Denmark secured a late win over Austria in the Nations League – and Danish media have given him 3/5 stars for his display.
The 24-year-old was handed only his sixth cap for Denmark after a wonderful 2021-22 campaign, in which he helped Salzburg – the nation of the country he faced on Monday – win a League and Cup double.
His 18 goal involvements from right-back has enticed Leeds, who are set to complete his signing on a five-year deal. Even Andrea Radrizzani has hinted at a move, by liking some of his comments on Twitter.

He lasted the entire 90 on Monday, laying on an assist for Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg to open the scoring in the 2-1 win. Austria equalised, only for Jens Stryger Larsen to score on 84 minutes.
Danish outlet TV2 gave him 3/5 stars for his display: “A steady effort. Got the assist for Højbjerg’s goal to make it 1-0 and managed his defensive tasks fairly well. Physically, the powerful guy does not go down.”
Danish media give Leeds target Kristensen 3/5 for Austria outing
A solid performance, but his assist shows that he is more than capable of getting forward and creating goals and chances. Luke Ayling is renowned for doing it, but he only has 18 assists in his 220 Leeds outings.
The Whites need a bit more from their full-backs in Jesse Marsch’s style. Rasmussen will give them that going forward. With age, Ayling is likely to move back into the middle of the defence.
While his performance was not one of his best, it is a clear sign to Leeds fans that he has what it takes to shine in Marsch’s side. All signs point towards £10million being an absolute steal.
