As Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici has received a 30-month ban from all forms of football after being involved in Juventus’ financial mismanagement scandal, it has been claimed that Daniel Levy was warned.

This revelation stems from the Athletic, indicating that despite the Spurs chairman being aware of the risks of employing him, he went on and made the decision anyway.

Now, a report has detailed exactly what happened when Daniel Levy was made aware of the risks that came with bringing on Fabio Paratici on board at Tottenham.

How did Levy react after being told about the risks Paratici could bring at Tottenham?

Unfortunately for Lilywhites supporters, this is bad news as this adds more uncertainly to the club that already is in need of a new manager.

Naturally, the fanbase are in disarray as they are unaware of the steps the club plan to take to replace Paratici and whether this decision will now impact their transfer ambitions.

Leaving that aside, how Daniel Levy reacted after being told about the risks of hiring Fabio Paratici at Tottenham have come to the surface.

“When Paratici started working for Spurs in June 2021, the investigations that have caught up with him this season were already underway. CONSOB (Commissione Nazionale per le Societa e la Borsa), the Italian equivalent of the US securities and exchange commission, first asked Juventus for information regarding their transfer revenue on February 11, 2021.”

“Multiple sources have told The Athletic that chairman Daniel Levy was warned by numerous people inside and outside Tottenham that he should be careful with the appointment and that it could come back to haunt him. At the very least, Levy would have known or should have known the investigation was ongoing, and yet he pressed on with the appointment regardless.”

Tottenham fans may have another reason to slate Daniel Levy as it was rather negligent from his side to appoint Fabio Paratici at Tottenham, despite the risk involved.
