The Daily Mail have suggested that Leeds United are looking at Manchester United winger Daniel James because Noa Lang is more expensive.

Leeds want to sign winger Lang from Club Brugge, but a deal to bring in the 22-year-old will reportedly be more expensive than signing James from United.

The Whites are monitoring developments with the former Swansea City winger as an alternative.

Noa Lang and Daniel James interest

Back in May, The Daily Mail reported that Leeds were holding talks over signing Lang from Brugge.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano said on his Twitch account earlier this month (July 9, 2021) said that Leeds and Brugge were still in discussions over the 22-year-old Dutch winger.

The Sun reported over the weekend that Leeds want to sign 23-year-old James from Premier League rivals United.

Noa Lang or Daniel James?

Lang is 22, while James is 23. Both the wingers are young.

Yes, Wales international James has experience of playing in the Premier League, but you cannot say that for sure that Lang will not be a hit in the top flight of English football.

Just look at Raphinha.

Leeds should sign the winger who they think will be best value for money and who will have a better chance of succeeding in the long run.
