Dane Scarlett provided a phenomenal assist for Tottenham target Samuel Iling-Junior on Wednesday as England defeated Germany 2-0 at Under-20 level.
What’s the story?
Well – according to Tuttosport – Tottenham want to sign the Juventus No.43 this summer.
If a move to Spurs does materialise for Iling-Junior, an effective partnership with Scarlett could blossom in N17 based on their efforts for England’s Under-20 side on Wednesday.
The 19-year-old Tottenham wonderkid found himself under pressure from two Germany Under-20 players as he attempted to control a throw-in from Brooke Norton-Cuffy.
Amazingly, Scarlett chested the ball down, flicked it over both of them, and then proceeded to play a one-two which allowed him to surge into the box.
The teenager then outmuscled his opponent before brilliantly firing a low cross to the back post, where Iling-Junior was waiting to tap the ball home.
You can see footage of the goal below.
It was a masterful piece of attacking play from Scarlett, to say the least.
If that is the kind of service Iling-Junior can expect from Scarlett on a regular basis, he may jump at the chance to join his England Under-20 teammate at Tottenham.
Tottenham could pair Scarlett with one of Europe’s best talents in Iling-Junior
If Spurs can bring Iling-Junior to north London, the future would be very exciting, specifically down the left flank.
Tottenham are already set to welcome one of the most exciting left-back prodigies around to N17 next season when Destiny Udogie returns from his loan spell at Udinese.

Therefore, if Spurs can find a way to bring the exciting left winger Iling-Junior back to London – Chelsea sold him to Juventus in 2020 – they would be able to boast three potential stars of the future.
90min believe Juventus may be forced to sell due to their financial issues, so make sure to keep an eye on the situation.
