Kacper Kurylowicz has confirmed his Tottenham exit, 10 years after joining the club’s academy – and both Alfie Devine and Dane Scarlett have reacted. Kurylowicz has spent the last few months out on loan.

Kurylowicz, 20, joined the Tottenham academy at just 10 years of age. He has since turned out for the club’s Under-18 and Under-23 sides. But the pathway into the first team has been near-enough impenetrable.

Hugo Lloris has signed a new deal. Pierluigi Gollini has played back-up this season and while he looks set to goFraser Forster is likely to replace him. Brandon Austin has also signed a new contract until the summer of 2024.

In the Under-23’s, Spurs boast another array of goalkeeping talent in Isak Solberg, Joshua Oluwayemi and Thimothee Lo-Tutala. For Kurylowicz, at 20 years of age, it was always going to be impossible to break into the side.

Since February, he has been on loan at Potters Bar – in the footballing pyramid one below the National League South. While Kurylowicz will have been expecting this day to come, he still sent a heartfelt message to Spurs.

Kurylowicz confirms Tottenham exit: Where next for goalkeeper?

The goalkeeper is likely to go on a trial or two here and there over the next few weeks in order to find himself a new club. If he can join a side in the Football League, then he will have done well.

But given he has been on loan at a side below the National League North and South, finding a club in the National League Premier might be his aim. Devine, Scarlett, Sunderland defender Dennis Cirkin and others responded.
