UFC President Dana White has weighed in on the growing talk of a potential bout between Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua, which could happen in December.

Paul is currently at odds with former two-time heavyweight champion Joshua and is looking to line up one more fight before 2025 ends.

After failing to secure a match against WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis, reports suggest that ‘The Problem Child’ may be close to facing the Olympic gold medallist.

Dana White, however, believes fans would only tune in hoping for one specific result.

Why Dana White thinks Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua is a ‘bad idea’

White, who has a long-running feud with Paul, does not think a fight against Joshua is the right move for the YouTuber-turned-boxer.

According to the UFC boss, fans would likely tune into the Netflix bout hoping to see the Briton finish Paul, something he admits even he would be curious to see.

“That’s a f—— bad idea,” White stated in his post-fight press conference after UFC 322.

“That’s a bad idea. But let me tell you what, a lot of people would watch that one.

When asked if he would watch the fight, the businessman replied: “Sure.”

“You know what everybody is tuning in on that one for. I think everybody is finally gonna get what they’ve been waiting for.”

Dana White isn’t committing to an Islam Makhachev vs. Ilia Topuria matchup just yet

Islam Makhachev was able to collect the welterweight title with ease at UFC 322, and White has spoken about the two-weight champion potentially facing Topuria.

However, he is not convinced that it is the right move at this stage. Instead, he hinted that there are a number of different directions the matchmakers can go in for both fighters’ next bouts.

“I don’t know yet. The great thing, that you just said, is we have a lot of options. And it depends on what he (Makhachev) wants to do.

“Does he wanna stay at 170 [pounds]? Is he interested in 155 [pounds]? You know? I don’t know any of those answers.”
