Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted a photo of Patrick Bamford, with a very teasing caption.

What’s the story?

Well, fans jokingly had a pop at Wilson – the club’s Social Media Manager – after he posted a cryptic tweet referencing a now famous moment.

Back in 2014, the club posted a tweet on Deadline Day telling supporters not to go to bed just yet, as there is still work to be done.

Obviously, that hinted at a new signing.

However, in the end, Leeds only announced the departures of Matt Smith and Dominic Poleon to Fulham and Oldham respectively.

The club then tweeted to say their business was done, much to the annoyance of supporters who had waited up for a new signing.

Now, Leeds paid tribute to that tweet when captioning a photo of Bamford asleep at Carnegie.

So, who could arrive?

If Leeds really were hinting at a signing with this teasing tweet, who could it be?

Well, the player closest to arriving at Elland Road is perhaps Barcelona’s Junior Firpo.

Reports are claiming that Marcelo Bielsa and Victor Orta have convinced the left-back to join Leeds, after Ezgjan Alioski’s contract expired.

The Whites are said to be in advanced talks, and Barcelona actually want him to join Leeds, so a deal could be done any day now.

Keep an eye on this one, as the defender’s arrival could be announced soon, in our view.

For now, let’s see what the Leeds fans on Twitter have been saying about the teasing tweet…
