Tottenham Hotspur may be in the market for a playmaker this summer, and Eintracht Frankfurt ace Daichi Kamada has been heavily linked.

New managing director of football Fabio Paratici has a big job on his hands at Spurs this summer, and another natural number 10 could be ideal for Tottenham.

Before Paratici was appointed, Kamada was a name being mentioned for Tottenham – and he’s now seemingly looking to leave…

Tottenham’s interest in Kamada

Bild reported in May that Tottenham were keen on signing Kamada in a potential double deal alongside Frankfurt teammate Evan Ndicka.

Watford and Sevilla were also thought to be pursuing Kamada, with a £26million asking price on his head this summer.

Kamada, 24, smashed five goals and a whopping 15 assists for Frankfurt last season, and fits the bill as a creative playmaker to bolster Tottenham’s efforts in the final third.

What has Kamada said about a transfer?

Bild have quoted Kamada as saying that ‘it is possible’ he leaves Frankfurt and goes to earn more money at a bigger club.

Kamada admitted that he will ‘stay patient’ and may even stay at Frankfurt yet, but his comments are seemingly great news for Tottenham if they still want him.

“There will certainly be speculation in the summer,” said Kamada. “It is possible that I will now change clubs and earn more at a club with a higher reputation.”

“I could stay in Frankfurt for another year to become a more important player there. I stay patient. I can already guess which clubs these will be,” he added when asked about the teams wanting to sign him.
