According to Bild, Tottenham Hotspur now want to sign playmaker Daichi Kamada in a potential double raid on Eintracht Frankfurt.
It’s claimed that Kamada wants to leave Frankfurt this summer, and he has a €30million (£26million) asking price on his head.
Sevilla are keen too, as are Watford, though Kamada isn’t keen on a move to Vicarage Road, seemingly prioritising Spurs and Sevilla instead.
Who is Daichi Kamada?
Kamada, 24, has racked up five goals and 15 assists this season, playing as an attacking midfielder or second striker.
Some may even remember Kamada for scoring twice against Arsenal in November 2019, with Gunners fans actually thanking him; his brace resulted in Unai Emery being sacked a day later.
It’s easy to make comparisons towards Son Heung-min; the duo are two of the top Asian players around right now, and signing Kamada could help Tottenham expand in Japan; after all, Kazuyuki Toda didn’t quite work out.
Beyond that though, Kamada and Son are both versatile attackers with great technical ability, and have honed their craft in the Bundesliga; Son with Bayer Leverkusen and now Kamada with Frankfurt, whilst they’re both impressively ambipedal.
Son joined Spurs at 23, with Kamada now 24. Tottenham may see Kamada as a player who can make a similar impact at a similar point to when Son arrived in 2015, with this far more than targeting a player just for marketing reasons.

Double deal?
The report also notes that Tottenham want to sign Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka, lining him up in a potential double deal with Kamada.
A left-footed centre back, Ndicka could be the Jan Vertonghen replacement Spurs need having struggled to settle on a centre back partnership this season.
It’s unclear just how much Frankfurt would want for the duo, but it seems that Steve Hitchen has been paying very close attention to the Bundesliga side ahead of a potential double raid.
