Crystal Palace could be after defensive additions in the final three days of the transfer window with talks remaining over Marc Guehi’s transfer away from Selhurst Park this summer.

HITC has reported that talks remain ongoing between Newcastle United and Crystal Palace over a deal for English defender Guehi this summer after the Magpies saw their fourth offer for the English defender rejected but a deal remains possible.

Maxence Lacroix not giving anything away amid Crystal Palace interest

Wolfsburg’s Lacroix is remaining silent as Palace reportedly continues to try and secure his signature before the transfer window slams shut on Friday night.

That’s according to Wolfsburger Allgemeine, who report that Palace have not given up on a move as yet.

The newspaper reports that Lacroix isn’t talking right now, despite having made it clear he would like to leave Wolfsburg by the end of the summer.

Lacroix is on Palace’s wishlist this summer, as is Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah with the English defender accepting his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

A plethora of Premier League clubs are keen on Chalobah this summer and Palace are indeed one of these sides who are keen and Chelsea are prepared to omit Chalobah from their Premier League squad and the defender has accepted his future lies away from Stamford Bridge.

Palace reportedly see offer rejected for Lacroix

Crystal Palace have reportedly seen a £10 million for Lacroix turned down with Wolfsburg looking for £16 million for the French defender.

In the meantime, Wolfsburg are trying to get Lacroix to end his contract. His current deal is set to expire next summer. The club’s supervisory board have given the green light to offer him a deal that would make him one of the top earners at the club.

The reported plan would be to include a release clause in Lacroix’s contract at the German side which would come into effect next summer and that would allow the Frenchman to leave the Bundesliga side in 2025.
