Crystal Palace could now submit a bid to sign Celtic and Rangers target Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City.
What’s the story?
Well, it was Bristol Live who claimed that Celtic and Rangers have scouted the Ghana international extensively as they both attempt to bring him to Glasgow.
Now, Ange Postecoglou and Michael Beale face competition from Crystal Palace, who are weighing up an offer.
That is according to John Percy of the Telegraph, who believes Patrick Vieira is considering a bid for Semenyo as he aims to improve his attacking options at Selhurst Park.
Percy adds that Bournemouth have already seen offers worth £8m and £10m rejected for the Bristol City No.11 this month, so the south Londoners must be wary of lowballing the Championship side with a similar bid.
Interest in Semenyo comes after he scored seven goals in his first 26 appearances of the season so far, while also providing two assists – the attacker also made two appearances for Ghana at the World Cup.
Interestingly, Percy states that the 23-year-old “could leave” Ashton Gate before deadline day, so a deal certainly seem possible if Crystal Palace make a reasonable offer.
Semenyo is said to be valued at £12m.
Celtic & Rangers target could make Crystal Palace tricky to handle
In our view, Semenyo could cause havoc in attack alongside Wilfried Zaha and Odsonne Edouard.
The Crystal Palace duo are both capable of playing centrally as well as on the left, which Semenyo is also able to do, meaning the trio could interchange their positions during games to throw off their opposition.

Furthermore, with Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze threading through balls into the trio, Vieira could have quite a dangerous attack on his hands if he can bring the Bristol City forward to SE25.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Crystal Palace could soon make an official bid.
