Crystal Palace have now made a move to sign Southampton target Antoine Semenyo from Bristol City.
What’s the story?
Well, it was John Percy of the Telegraph who revealed that the south Londoners were considering a bid for the Ghana international, who made two appearances at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Now, Crystal Palace seem to have firmed up their interest with an official approach – according to the Daily Mail.
It is said that the Eagles have made contact with Bristol City over a deal for Semenyo, while Southampton have lodged an enquiry about his situation at Ashton Gate.
The 23-year-old is likely to move clubs this month with his contract expiring at the end of the season.
Semenyo has also been the subject of a £10m bid from Bournemouth, which was rejected by Bristol City – according to the Daily Mail.

Sky Sports believe the Robins would like £12m to sell their No.11 this month.
Ultimately, a lower offer could be accepted, as Bristol City can either choose to cash in before the transfer deadline this month, or lose Semenyo for nothing at the end of the season.
However, it is believed that Bristol City hold an option to extend his deal by a further 12 months – according to The Athletic.
So far this term, the Ghanaian has scored seven goals in 26 appearances, while also providing two assists.
Semenyo should choose Crystal Palace over Southampton
In our view, Semenyo would thrive at Crystal Palace, whereas his chances of success at Southampton seem smaller.
Patrick Vieira needs one more attacker to compliment the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Odsonne Edouard, Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze, with Jordan Ayew a regular starter despite struggling to make an impact.
The Eagles are also sitting comfortably in 12th place in the Premier League, whereas Southampton find themselves bottom and in real danger of dropping into the Championship.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Semenyo looks very likely to move clubs this month.
