Yann Karamoh has been left out of Parma’s plans for the new season as Crystal Palace look to lure the want-away winger to the Premier League, according to ParmaLive.

In an ideal world, former Manchester City U23 boss Enzo Maresca would love to keep hold of his £7 million prized asset as the new Parma coach plots an immediate return to Serie A having finished bottom of Italy’s top flight last season.

But while the legendary Gianluigi Buffon had no qualms about dropping down to the second tier, the same can’t be said of a 23-year-old forward who, with all due respect, has better offers on the table.

ParmaLive backs earlier claims by FootMercato, insisting Karamoh has emerged as a target for Crystal Palace, St Etienne and Lille.

The reigning Ligue 1 champions can boast a remarkable track record when it comes to finding, developing and selling explosive young wingers – from Eden Hazard to Rafael Leao and Nicolas Pepe to Gervinho.

Karamoh could be Vieira’s next Crystal Palace signing

Karamoh, who was once compared to Kylian Mbappe and endured an ill-fated spell at Inter Milan earlier in his career, could replace the departed Andros Townsend at Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace are looking for a new wide player and Karamoh would come far cheaper than the likes of Arnaut Danjuma and Noni Madueke, both of whom could cost a minimum of £20 million and are courting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Former Fulham loanee Ademola Lookman, meanwhile, is asking for wages of £50,000 a week.

According to ParmaLive, Karamoh has been left out of Maresca’s pre-season preparations. The two-time UEFA Cup winners are focusing solely on players willing to stick around for an assault on the Serie B title.

What’s more, Karamoh has been stripped of his number ten shirt. It has been handed to Franco Vazquez after the former Argentina international arrived at the Stadio Ennio Tardini from Sevilla.
