HITC understands that Crystal Palace are closing in on the signing of a former Premier League winger this summer, who could replace Michael Olise.

Oliver Glasner was appointed Crystal Palace’s new manager halfway through the previous campaign and the Austrian certainly turned things around at Selhurst Park.

Palace beat Manchester United 4-0 in May, which was the club’s best result of the campaign but the Eagles have lost one key player this summer, whilst others have been linked with a move away.

Bayern Munich completed a deal to sign Palace winger Michael Olise earlier this summer but it appears the South London club have identified a replacement.

Ismaila Sarr agrees move back to Crystal Palace this summer

HITC understands that former Watford winger Ismaila Sarr has agreed on a move back to the Premier League and with Palace.

The former Watford man is understood to have agreed a five-year deal at Selhurst Park, as Palace finalise an agreement with Marseille.

Sarr was an exciting winger during his spell in the Premier League and was heavily linked with a move away from Vicarage Road during his time there.

The Senegalese winger had moments of promise during his time at Watford in the Premier League but it was when the Hornets were in the Championship that he really came alive with 13 goals and 10 goals in his two Championship seasons, before moving to Ligue 1.

After a poor start at French giants Marseille, towards the end of last season, Sarr began to show his worth for the club.

Interim manager Jean Louis Gusset was full of praise for the winger, when he told Get French Football News: “He is going to become a very big player. He has speed and he is capable of keeping going and repeating his efforts.”

Roberto De Zerbi has green-lit Sarr departure

Palace have offered a deal worth around £12million for the exciting winger and only the finer details remain before a deal can be done.

New Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi has green-lit Sarr’s exit and now he is set for a move to England.

Marseille confirmed the signing of Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood earlier this month and Sarr will now be allowed to move back to the Premier League, and indeed London.
