Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has responded to Tottenham Hotspur central defender Cristian Romero on Instagram.

Romero has made a post on Instagram after returning to Tottenham training with his teammates.

The 23-year-old Argentina international central defender has been on the sidelines since November when he suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty with Argentina.

Romero is back in training with his Tottenham teammates and has posted a short clip on Instagram.

Villa and Argentina international goalkeeper Martinez has responded to it and seems delighted to see the 23-year-old back in training.

Interestingly, Martinez is a former Arsenal player.

Martinez wrote, as translated from Spanish: “wow what a joy you give me”.

Cristian Romero return a boost for Tottenham Hotspur

In our view, Romero being back in training with his Tottenham teammates is a boost for Spurs.

Tottenham are doing well at the moment and are very much in the running for the Premier League top four this season.

It remains to be seen when Romero can actually start a match.

In our view, when Romero will be fully match fit, then he will be an asset for Tottenham.

So far this season, Romero has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League, and two appearances in the Carabao Cup and the Europa Conference League each.
