David Ornstein has said that any club that aims to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the summer may have to pay above the current British record fee.
Currently that fee lies at £106.8 million, as reported by Sky Sports when Chelsea broke the bank to sign Enzo Fernandez in January.
As clubs eye a deal for Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur, the fee in question may that they may be demanded to fork up may be even higher than that.
David Ornstein names fee for Tottenham forward Harry Kane
It seems likely that both Manchester United and Bayern Munich will try their best to sign the England captain, whose current contract expires in 2024.
With both European giants seemingly plotting a summer bid, David Ornstein said that Tottenham could demand a fee above £100 million to sell Harry Kane.

“Definitely [£100 million or above could be the asking price]. Daniel Levy will want the highest possible price and there was a report in the Times that they want at least a £100 million in a lump sum. But that isn’t the final price. That could be the initial outlay”, he said on the FIVE YouTube channel.
When asked about whether an interested club would have to break the British record transfer fee to sign him, Ornstein responded by saying, “Yeah, I think so. You will speak to people at Tottenham who would hypothetically say way higher than that. Crazy numbers to even consider it with a year to go. And that’s their starting price at the moment.”
“But let’s see when we get to the summer how Harry Kane feels, how Tottenham’s push for the top four goes, whether he agitates for a move or not, whether Tottenham decides if they want to cash in and who’s there at the table.”
Considering Harry Kane turns 30 in July, the question is whether any club would be willing to pay such a sizable fee to sign him from Tottenham.
