With summer target lists likely already being drawn up, could the Hibernian forward be worth a look for Celtic and Rangers?
With Rangers now back in the top flight, football fans once again have reason to look forward to the Scottish title race, as the league’s two biggest teams once again occupy the top two spots. However, with a massive 27 points between them, the difference in ability between Celtic and Rangers is there for all to see.
Mark Warburton, who guided Rangers to promotion back to the top flight last season, has been under pressure this season for allowing Celtic to carve such an enormous gap between the two sides in the league, and will likely already be looking at new faces to bring to Ibrox in the summer. Celtic however have a different challenge on their hands. With so many of their players getting a lot of attention from clubs in England, Brendan Rodgers may well be keeping an eye on possible replacements he may need to bring to Celtic Park when the summer window opens.

So who might the Glasgow giants be looking for? Both teams may well be in need of a goalscorer in the summer, granted for different reasons, and might turn to another of Scotland’s biggest clubs for a new recruit.

Hibernian striker Jason Cummings, who has 14 goals to his name this season, has been one of the stand out performers in the Scottish Championship over the last year or so. Scoring an impressive 21 goals in 45 appearances during the 14/15 campaign, and a further 25 goals from 49 appearances last season, Jason Cummings has proved he’s no one-season-wonder, and looks ready to take on the top flight.

So might Rangers and Celtic be interested in the Hibs forward? Rangers could certainly use a goalscorer as prolific as he has been, Despite the best efforts of Kenny Miller, the ageing veteran is getting on, and some fresh new blood might be just what the Gers need to challenge for the title next season.

Celtic on the other hand may well be looking for a replacement for Moussa Dembele come the summer. The french forward has been in blistering form for Brendan Rodgers, and is likely to attract interest from some of Europe’s top clubs.
So, could Cummings be set for a move to Scotland’s top two? Would Rangers or Celtic fans be happy with this move? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.
