Have Derby County identified replacement for Leeds United-linked Matej Vydra?

Matej Vydra has been linked with Leeds United for a number of weeks and, according to The Daily Mail, Derby County are still weighing up a £12 million bid.
Vydra bagged 21 Championship goals for the Rams last season en route to winning the Golden Boot and adding that sort of firepower would be a massive plus for Leeds.
The 26-year-old would leave a big hole in Derby’s attack but, if rumours are believed, they might be trying to replace him.

According to HITC Sport, County have lodged a bid for Peterborough United hitman Jack Marriott, who hit 33 goals across all competitions last season.

If true, it is arguably a step in the right direction if Leeds really do want Vydra and fans of the West Yorkshire side should be hoping that County’s offer for Marriott is accepted.
For now, it looks unlikely that Derby will allow Vydra to leave until a ready-made replacement is signed, but the widespread reports about their move for Marriott has positive implications for United.
