Stan Collymore has written in CaughtOffSide that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur could be an option for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

The former Liverpool striker believes that Zaha could be appealing to Tottenham in the summer transfer window as he will become a free agent.

The former Manchester United winger is out of contract at Palace at the end of the season.

No new contract is in place at the moment.

Collymore believes that the 30-year-old’s status as a free agent in the summer of 2023 could be appealing to Tottenham.

The pundit has also suggested Brentford as a potential destination for the £130,000-a-week (SalarySport) Zaha.

Wilfried Zaha tipped for Tottenham Hotspur or Brentford move

Collymore wrote: “He’s a tier-two player and what I mean by that is, he’s best suited to competitions such as the Europa League.

“Don’t get me wrong, he’s done fantastically during his two spells at Crystal Palace but any suggestion that he should return to Man United because he may have some unfinished business there, no, sorry – not for me.

“I actually think if he does move, he’d prefer to stay in London anyway. Spurs could be an option for him and he’d be available on a free transfer so he’d fit the criteria of any club that has to work within the confines of a smaller budget.

“I like the look of Brentford for him though. They’re a club that are trying to take the next step.

“They’ll be looking at the Europa Conference and Europa League places and thinking they’ve got a real chance, so to bring in a player like Zaha would signal progress, not only for Thomas Frank and the club but also for the player himself.”

Good signing for Spurs?

In our view, Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha would be a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.

The 30-year-old is at the top of his game now and would be able to make an immediate impact at Spurs.

Now, of course, we know that Tottenham have a very good attacking unit, but if the North London club are to progress and evolve as a team on the pitch, then they need more quality players.

Zaha knows the Premier League inside out, and he would make Tottenham a better and more potent team in attack.
