Jadon Sancho has been speaking on England’s YouTube channel, where he had some kind words to say about Tottenham No.20 Dele Alli.
What’s the story?
Well, the Manchester United forward jokingly had a bit of a moan at Harry Kane as well, after he denied him a hat-trick against Kosovo in 2019.
However, Sancho seems to have more appreciation for another Tottenham player in Alli, who he claims to have a ‘great relationship’ with.
The £73m man said: “Me and Del have a close relationship. When I first met him, he was just a cool guy to talk to and he made me feel welcome. Ever since then, me and him have just had a great relationship.”
Unfortunately for the Premier League duo, they’ve only ever shared a pitch four times for England, but they still have a 100% winning record!
Sadly, Sancho and Alli aren’t exactly the first names on the teamsheet under Gareth Southgate at the moment.
The £5m man wasn’t even included in the EURO 2020 squad, whereas Sancho only made three appearances, which totalled just 97 minutes.
Tottenham could’ve had both Jadon Sancho and Dele Alli

Famously, Tottenham very nearly signed Sancho while he was at Manchester City in 2017.
As Football London explain, the flamboyant winger was becoming frustrated under Pep Guardiola due to a lack of opportunities.
Despite growing up as a Chelsea fan, Sancho was interested in a move to Spurs after learning that Tottenham were keen to sign him.
The north Londoners were happy to meet his asking price, and Sancho himself was keen to work under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the Citizens decided they didn’t want to strengthen a Premier League rival, and Sancho eventually joined Borussia Dortmund for £8m.
Imagine a frontline of Heung-min Son, Kane and Sancho, with an in-form Alli behind them – mouthwatering stuff.
Sadly, the footballing world never got to see that exciting quartet happen.
