Florian Plettenberg has claimed that he is ’totally convinced’ that Tottenham striker Harry Kane will become a ‘very, very hot topic’ at Bayern Munich next summer, as he told Sky Sports.

The Sky Germany reporter added that, the brother and agent of Tottenham’s leading star, Charlie Kane, has ‘definitely’ made contact with key people at Bayern.

During the 2022 summer transfer window, Bayern CEO, Oliver Kahn, hinted at the club possibly wanting to buy the Spurs 29-year-old.

Last summer, there were well-documented rumours that Kane wanted to head for the exit door, but Tottenham’s stubborn chairman, Daniel Levy, ensured that he stayed put.

With the England captain’s current deal due to expire in 2024, there hasn’t been much noise on the player’s part about moving, and instead, he is thriving under Antonio Conte.

But German transfer expert Plettenberg dropped this bombshell about Kane and how the player would possibly be keen on securing a transfer to Munich.

“I am totally convinced Harry Kane will become a very, very hot topic at Bayern Munich for the next transfer window,” said Plettenberg.

“It depends on the striker’s performance this year. Bayern bosses have told them ‘let’s see what happens. We have Mane. We have Coman, Sane, Gnabri and so on’.

“But if they don’t work and they will miss that number nine, then I told you, Bayern Munich is a number nine club. Harry Kane will become very hot.

“There was definitely contact between the Bayern responsibles and Charlie Kane, the brother of Harry Kane. We hear it confirmed that Harry Kane can really, really imagine joining Bayern

“It’s too early to say he will do this. It depends on the situation with Tottenham. Nobody could believe Sadio Mane would make that step from the Premier League to Bayern, so why Harry Kane shouldn’t join him?”

WILL KANE SIGN A NEW CONTRACT?

Tottenham are at a stage where Kane either, signs a new deal, or they go down a road where they can lose him for nothing.

That’s why these next 12 or so months are crucial, not just what happens off the field, but on the field of play also.

If Conte can deliver a trophy, added with Champions League football again, then it puts the club on a very strong road.

But if they stumble, then those in Bavaria will cotton onto it and feel that they can lure Kane to Germany’s biggest club.
