Tottenham Hotspur have further enhanced their forward line by securing the transfer of Dominic Solanke.

Ange Postecoglou stuck his chest out and showed what he was all about in his debut campaign at Tottenham.

One of the standouts of his first 12 months was his style of play, fearless nature and the amount of bodies his teams would commit forward.

It resulted in Tottenham scoring 74 goals – four more than they managed in the previous campaign when they had Harry Kane on their books.

As a result, Spurs fans should get really excited by the Solanke signing because he is going to create even more havoc in the final third.

Solanke has already praised James Maddison and Son Heung-min, they are going to create a lot of chances and opportunities for their new striker.

But could Postecoglou take it to a new level by adding even more ‘flair’ to his squad before the summer transfer window slams shut?

Commentator Ian Drake certainly thinks so, as he was discussing the incoming Solanke arrival.

The football and boxing commentator thinks Eberechi Eze could also land on Tottenham’s doorstep, as he told ESPN – Even Chris Waddle wants Spurs to sign Eze.

Darke labelled it as potential ‘interesting’ signings, with the Crystal Palace star one of the best ball carriers and flair players in the Premier League.

Tottenham to sign Eberechi Eze after Dominic Solanke?

“I have noticed the bookmakers have got them odds on to sign Eberechi Eze, the Crystal Palace and England flair player and creator,” said Darke

“So those (Solanke and Eze) would be interesting signings.”

Tottenham’s defence

From an attacking perspective, even if Spurs lost Son to injury or Maddison, or these players started slowly.

You would still back them to score for fun because of the depth they have in the final third and just how they are set up.

But you do worry about the team from a defensive aspect because that cost them Champions League football last season.

Emerson Royal is close to finalising a deal with European giants AC Milan and you wonder if that money will be used to bring in more defensive cover.

That is what is needed because if someone like Destiny Udogie gets injured, then you worry about the drop in levels.
