It was a hugely controversial match.

Anthony Gordon scored the only goal of the game in the 64th minute.

VAR had to check whether the ball had gone out of play, for a foul, and for offside before allowing the goal to stand.

Newcastle were not happy at all when Arsenal attacker Kai Havertz escaped a red card for a first-half challenge on Sean Longstaff.

Arsenal felt that Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes should have been sent off for an elbow on Italian midfielder Jorginho.

The Gunners are now fourth in the Premier League table with 24 points from 11 matches.

Gary Neville mocks Arsenal fan using Tottenham Hotspur

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has criticised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and the Gunners for slamming the match officials and releasing a statement.

As you can see below, an Arsenal fan has called for the North London club to ban Neville and fellow Sky Sports pundit and former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher from the Emirates Stadium.

Neville has responded to the Arsenal supporter by noting that Tottenham are above them, so Sky Sports are likely to show more Spurs matches than Gunners fans.

Tottenham Hotspur are second in the Premier League table with 26 points from 10 games.

Spurs are a point behind leaders and defending champions Manchester City, who have played 11 matches.

Tottenham will take on Chelsea in the London derby on Monday evening and have the chance to go top again.
