Colin Cowherd had plenty to say about Josh Allen after the Buffalo Bills’ playoff win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

The Fox Sports host said the quarterback’s performance reminded him of LeBron James at his most dominant.

Cowherd described Allen’s effort as almost superhuman, leading Buffalo in multiple major offensive categories as they advanced to the next round.

He argued that Allen’s strength, athleticism, and composure make him unlike any quarterback in today’s NFL.

The comments sparked heavy debate across social media, with fans split over whether Allen’s physical gifts have already surpassed those of Patrick Mahomes.

Colin Cowherd says Josh Allen is ‘more talented than Mahomes’

Cowherd didn’t hold back when comparing Allen to some of football’s all-time greats.

“Listen, Josh Allen is as good a football player as I’ve ever seen in my life. I think he’s better than Elway, I think he’s better than Marino. I think he’s more talented than Mahomes,” he said.

“Forget a superhero, he’s like Zeus. He’s a God among Gods. Like it’s just a different level of player.”

Cowherd’s remarks came as Allen delivered another statement performance, accounting for nearly all of Buffalo’s offensive yardage against Jacksonville.

His dual-threat ability once again turned a tight playoff game into a showcase of control and creativity.

For Cowherd, it was evidence that Allen’s physical ceiling might be higher than anyone else in football, past or present.

Cowherd compares Josh Allen’s impact to LeBron James

Cowherd also drew parallels between Allen’s impact and LeBron James’ dominance at his peak.

“Josh Allen was 90% of the Bills’ yards. LeBron-esque, 5 for 5 and 65 of 66 total yards on the game-winning drive,” he added.

“Playing from behind on the road and being totally dependent on one guy isn’t a recipe for success.”

Like LeBron in his early years, Allen is often asked to carry his team through sheer talent and willpower.

Cowherd praised that level of dominance but suggested it may not be sustainable, especially deep into the playoffs.
