Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United recently.

The Englishman came through Manchester City’s academy, but he is actually a Man Utd supporter.

And with Bruno Fernandes coming towards the end of his prime, Palmer would be an ideal replacement.

One of Palmer’s friends has now added to the speculation with a bold claim about the Chelsea star.

Cole Palmer’s friend wants him to join Manchester United

Cole Palmer has spent the last few days on holiday in Dubai, resting ahead of a busy end to the season.

As well as seeing his girlfriend and Chelsea teammates Joao Pedro and Marc Cucurella, he also spent time with his friend, Tunde.

Tunde has since posted a picture of them on his Instagram story with a controversial caption.

“One day, I will get CP back to United, back home where he belongs,” Tunde wrote. “Go ask him who his favourite team is.”

One can only assume that Tunde has spoken to Palmer about joining United one day, which will greatly concern Chelsea fans.

How much would Cole Palmer cost Man Utd?

A potential move for Cole Palmer would be almost impossible for Manchester United to complete, even if he wants to go.

The 23-year-old signed a two-year contract extension with improved terms in June 2024, keeping him at Stamford Bridge until 2033.

With seven years remaining on his deal after this season, Chelsea would not be under any obligation to facilitate a move.

Therefore, United would probably have to pay even more than Liverpool’s British record transfer fee of £125 million for Alexander Isak.
