Coco Gauff has excelled in her singles career on the WTA Tour so far, but she is also an accomplished doubles player.

Just this month, Gauff has been shining for the USA at the United Cup, where she has been playing mixed doubles with Christian Harrison.

Gauff has had various doubles partners over the years, but perhaps most notable is Katerina Siniakova given that they won the French Open together.

The exciting pairing lifted the trophy in Paris in 2024, with the former having lost the 2022 final playing with Jessica Pegula.

Coco Gauff discusses potential doubles strategy with Madison Keys

Gauff has also partnered with fellow American Caty McNally in a Grand Slam final, but they lost out at the 2021 US Open.

WTA superstar Gauff has now discussed her doubles strategy on The Player’s Box podcast, with reference to her compatriots Pegula and Madison Keys.

She said: “I’ll start with Jess, because we played. I don’t think we had a strategy, it was just, if we returned well, we won, if we didn’t, we usually lost.

“Maddie, Maddie just serves so well and hits her forehand so big, so I think she could just do that and I could be at the net, and just try to clean up whatever comes back.”

How far Coco Gauff has reached in doubles at every Grand Slam

Gauff and Keys would certainly be an exciting doubles partnership, particularly given the years that both players just had in singles.

Keys started the 2025 season by winning the Australian Open, with Gauff quickly following in her footsteps at the French Open.

Both Americans will be eyeing more Grand Slam success at the start of 2026, with Keys out to defend her title in Melbourne.

Gauff has never made it beyond the semifinals of the hard court tournament, and fell in the quarterfinals in 2025.

She has also reached that stage in Australian Open doubles, with a quarterfinal run at Wimbledon on her CV alongside her US Open runner-up finish and French Open title.
