Bologna manager Sinisa Mihajlovic has said he has banished reported Rangers target Andreas Skov Olsen from the squad as well as admitted the midfielder could leave the club soon.

Speaking to La Repubblica, the Serbian coach revealed that the 22-year-old is free to leave Italy this January after the winger was left out of the squad for Friday’s league defeat to Hellas Verona.

As per the Daily Record, Skov Olsen is a target for Rangers in the final week of the transfer window, yet as per La Repubblica, Belgian side Club Brugge are the frontrunners for the young Dane.

Rangers have been active this transfer window, yet it appears that Giovanni van Bronckhorst is eager to add more quality into the attack before the closure of the window. And Skov Olsen could be a target for the Gers.

Bologna manager Mihajlovic said about the youngster as well as left-back Mitchell Dijks: “They are two players who no longer enjoy being here. Therefore, they have to leave. I cannot have people on the team who pull themselves out in the time of need.”

At just 22 and a full international with Denmark, Skov Olsen could prove to be one of the bargain signings of the window, which presents Rangers a unique opportunity to make yet another statement this month

Skov Olsen could be brilliant last-minute signing for Rangers

A versatile winger noted for his creative and technical qualities, Skov Olsen fits the bill of what Bronckhorst would like from a forward as well as a midfielder should the Dane need to fill in further down the pitch.

And with Bologna now banishing the youngster from the squad, a cheap deal is there to be made for Skov Olsen, which should be sending alarm bells to Rangers to pip Brugge to the youngster in the final week of the window.
