The Daily Mail has reported of interest in Duffy from Leeds, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship (click here to read more).
The report has also claimed of interest in the 28-year-old Republic of Ireland international defender from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.
It now seems that Brighton have set two conditions to let the defender leave this summer.
The Sun has claimed that Brighton want a £5 million loan fee and want his wages to be paid in full for the 2020-21 campaign, with the report in the British tabloid adding that Duffy is unsettled.
Good signing for Leeds United?
With Ben White having gone back to Brighton and the Seagulls unwilling to sell him for anything less than £50 million, as reported by The Sun, a move for Duffy would make sense, as Leeds need a central defender.
A £5 million loan fee for next season and paying Duffy’s wages in full would not be a bad deal for the Whites, as he is a very good defender with a lot of experience in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Leeds goalkeeper Kiko Casilla has suggested that the club should be looking to avoid relegation from the Premier League next season.
Casilla told The Sun about next season: “You have to look towards survival first, which in this league is not just a given.”
