Liverpool and Manchester United have received another boost in their respective pursuits of Mason Mount as Chelsea identify a replacement.
What’s the story?
Well – according to ESPN – both Jürgen Klopp and Erik ten Hag are interested in signing the England international, with his contract set to have just 12 months remaining at the end of the season.
There was a significant development recently as Mount hired Neil Fewings to be his new agent, with Fabrizio Romano adding that the Chelsea No.19 is “very likely to leave” this summer.
Now, the Blues are considering a move for Andreas Pereira as they begin their hunt to replace the Liverpool and Manchester United target – again according to ESPN.
In that respect, it seems Mount’s 18-year stint at Stamford Bridge is now coming to an end.
ESPN believe Fulham value Pereira somewhere in the region of £25m to £35m with Paris-Saint Germain and Atlético Madrid also interested in signing the Brazil international.

It is said that the South American is happy at Craven Cottage, but would find it difficult to reject one of Europe’s leading sides.
Pereira has scored two goals – while also providing six assists – in 27 Premier League appearances this season.
Liverpool confident of beating Manchester United to Chelsea’s Mount
It is said that Liverpool believe Mount is tempted by a move to Anfield if he does leave west London at the end of the season, with contract talks currently proving to be unproductive between him and Chelsea.
90min believe Klopp is confident of beating Manchester United – as well as Newcastle and Manchester City – to the attacking midfielder’s signature this summer as he aims to rejuvenate his midfield department.
Only time will tell for sure where Mount ends up, but the fact Chelsea are already looking to replace their Cobham graduate suggests they are not too optimistic about keeping him.
