AC Milan have issued an ultimatum to Tottenham targets Franck Kessie and Alessio Romagnoli, who are both looking likely to leave the European club this summer.
According to La Repubblica, the Serie A giants will offer the pair one final contract offer to keep the duo at the San Siro, with Kessie and Romagnoli both key players for Stefan Pioli’s system this season.
Despite a shock draw over the weekend to relegation candidates Salernitana, Milan remain one of the favourites for the Scudetto this season, with Kessie and Romagnoli, who are both labelled as ‘incredible’ by La Repubblica, playing their part for the Rossoneri.
Indeed, the two Milan stars have been some of the Serie A’s best players in recent years, and Tottenham are eager to sign both in the summer, with Fabio Paratici a huge fan of the duo if reports are to be believed.
However, standing in Tottenham’s way is some major competition from other Italian clubs and teams from Europe, with Romagnoli attracting major interest from Lazio, the side the centre-back supporters, as well as FC Barcelona, who also want Kessie on a pre-contract.
With competition strong and Milan now issuing an ultimatum for Kessie and Romagnoli, the futures of the two players could be resolved in the coming days, with Tottenham eyeing to sign the duo.
Tottenham have to beat rivals to Milan contract rebels Kessie and Romagnoli

Kessie and Romagnoli have been part of the furniture at Milan for some time, yet this contract ultimatum from the club could provide the definitive answer to where the pair will play their football next season, and Tottenham have to be at the front of the queue.
The north London side, even after their win against Manchester City, need more both in the defence and in midfield, and Kessie and Romagnoli could be perfect for Tottenham should the duo reject new contracts from Milan.
